WINSTON-SALEM, NC – Athletic Director Trish Hughes has named Britni Mohney as Senior Women's Administrator at Salem College.
Mohney, is entering her 5th year as the head coach of both Cross Country and Basketball for the Spirits.
"We are excited to add Britni to our leadership team as our Senior Woman Administrator. Her tenure at Salem and experience as a seasoned coach makes her a great candidate to serve in this position. By definition the SWA is the highest-ranking female in each NCAA athletics department and the purpose of her designation is to promote meaningful representation of women in the leadership and management of college sports," said Hughes about Mohney's new role.
Under Mohney's leadership, the Spirits have had great individual success on the court with two players making the North Carolina All-State team during her time. Three of her student-athletes have surpassed the 1,000 point mark with one setting the all-time scoring record for the Spirits at 1,433 points. Mohney also led the team to the USA South Conference Tournament since arriving on campus in 2014.
Mohney said, "I'm excited for the opportunity to help lead an amazing group of coaches. I have really enjoyed my time here at Salem and I'm looking forward to the added responsibilities that come with this title."
