Basketball wins Second Straight Great South Regular Season Title

Decatur, GA-The Salem College basketball team destroyed Agnes Scott on the road today to clinch their second straight Great South Regular Season Championship. Quantashea Lewis led the way for Salem with a double-double of 23 points and 12 rebounds. Salem won their fourth straight game to move to 7-11 overall and they are 3-0 in the GSAC.

Halfway through the first-half the game was tight with both teams tied at 14. Salem went on a 27-13 run to finish the half with a 41-27 advantage. Agnes Scott was never able to make a game out of it in the 2nd half.

Mikayla Sievers had her best game of the season with 13 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. Kristal Lollis poured in 6 assists and 12 rebounds to go along with 9 points. Lewis led the team with 4 steals.

The Spirits finish regular season play tomorrow at Wesleyan as they try to finish GSAC regular season play undefeated.
