1st GOAL – (23:37) Teia Horton scored with an assist from Hannah Ostlund.

2nd GOAL – (18:17) Logan Bowling scored a goal from a free position shot on goal.

3rd GOAL – (17:18)) Hope Morrison scored an unassisted goal.

4th GOAL – (13:35) Hope Morrison again with an unassisted goal.

5th GOAL – (05:08) Teia Horton scored Salem's last goal with yet another assist from Hannah Ostlund.



  • Hollins outshot Salem by 39-12 throughout the course of the game.
  • Salem accounted for 20 turnovers to Hollins 7 throughout the game.
  • Hollins won 17 face-offs compared to Salem's 8 face-offs.



WINSTON-SALEM NC — The Salem Spirits continued to work on putting together all the pieces, but they were outscored by Hollins 18-5 Thursday afternoon at home.

"Each game we are finding different players stepping up and that continued to happen today," Interim Spirits Lacrosse Coach Emma Rose said. "We are that much closer to putting all the pieces together."

Hollens used a 6-0 run to start the game and they never lost the lead, despite 21 saves in goal by Salem's Hannah Ostuland.

Teia Horton and Hope Morrison each scored twice for Salem, and Logan Bowling scored a goal from a free position on goal.


The Salem Spirits will return to action at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 30 on the road against Averett.
