Tennis Splits Against Mary Baldwin and Southern Virginia

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College tennis team split matches against Mary Baldwin and Southern Virginia this week. The Spirits defeated Mary Baldwin 9-0 in USA South East Division action. They fell 9-0 to Southern Virginia in non-conference action. Salem is now 4-3 overall and 1-0 in the conference.

The Spirits cruised to the win against Mary Baldwin. They won all of their games except for 1 throughout the entire match. All three doubles teams won 8-0. Makenna Mason won 6-0, 6-1 at number one singles. Abigail Williams, Lauren Holman, Lindsey Young, Grace Wilson, and Shannon Sullivan all won 6-0, 6-0 during singles action. Mason and Williams won at number one singles. Young and Wilson won at number two doubles, and Holman and Carmen Wilkins won at number three doubles.

The Spirits will play at Bluefield College in non-conference action this Friday.
