This is Ed Steele’s fourth season as the head coach for tennis. Ed has been a member of the USPTA and USTA, playing mostly in Florida but has worked all along the East coast from Maine to Florida. Before working at Salem College, he coached and played in the Futures Circuit and ran some successful tennis camps in Florida having some students move on to become successful tennis professional players on the tour.

Ed Steele has been coaching tennis for over thirty-five years all along the East coast. He began his coaching career in New Hampshire in 1978. Over the past thirty-eight years, Steele has coached in New England, Florida, and New Jersey. 

He took over the Salem College tennis program in the spring of 2015 and helped the team to the Great South semifinals.

Steele graduated from Georgetown College in Kentucky, and he earned his graduate degree from Nova Southeastern in Florida. He holds a USPTA Level 2 coaching license.
