AWARDS & ACCOLADES
-USA South All-Sportsmanship Team (2024)

JUNIOR (2025 / BEACH VOLLEYBALL): Competed alongside Haley King on seven occasions for the Spirits, including five exhibition matches … the pair of King and York made their debut  for Salem against Sandhills CC’s tandem of Jacque Holden / Emery Freeman on March 7th, suffering a 21-18, 18-21, 15-6 setback … posted a win (21-19, 21-13) in a meeting with Deanna Disinger / Myranda Cummings (Lynchburg) on April 3rd … competed as Salem’s No. 5 seed in a pair of matches against St. Andrews on April 8th, suffering a 21-10, 21-8 setback in the first meeting and a 21-10, 21-10 loss in the second match of the afternoon … responsible for a 18-21, 22-20, 15-6 win over Hannah Rutherford and Jenna Dupre (Huntingdon) at the Briggs Beach Bash hosted by Berry College on April 11th … King completed her return to her native state of Georgia and teamed with York to face Laura Underwood / Blakely Barnes (Berry) and Mamie Martenstein / Mary Kate Boswell (LaGrange) … the tandem of Underwood and Barnes posted a two-set win (21-10, 21-5), while York and King extended the match versus Martenstein and Boswell to three sets, falling 18-21, 21-11, 15-13 in the season finale.

JUNIOR (2024 / VOLLEYBALL): Played in four sets (three matches) during the 2024 season, finishing with six digs and one kill … made her season debut against Pfeiffer (September 20), where she tallied one dig in a sweep of the Falcons … drove home one kill and added one dig in a match at N.C. Wesleyan (October 26) … responsible for four digs and a service ace in two sets against Mary Baldwin (November 9), which marked her Senior Day as she completed her degree from Salem in three seasons. 

SOPHOMORE (2023 / VOLLEYBALL): Played in three matches over the course of the 2023 campaign … made her season debut against Hollins (Sept. 8), recording one kill in the process … appeared in one set against William Peace (Sept. 16) … slammed home one kill in Salem’s three-set win in the season finale against Mary Baldwin (Nov.4).

FIRST YEAR (2022 / VOLLEYBALL): Played in three matches over the course of the season, assisting on one block along the way … made her collegiate debut against Hollins (Sept. 10), making her lone assisted block … earned time against Hollins (Sept. 26) for her second match of the season … saw action against Meredith (Oct. 29) for the Spirits.

PREP: Graduated from Wilkes Central High School in June 2022 … a two-sport athlete who competed in both soccer and volleyball … competed on the pitch under Jim Caudill (2019-20) as well as Matt Matthews (2021-22) and Brooke Bentley (2022) … a four-year volleyball player, who competed at the varsity level for two years under head coach Kevin Anderson (2020-21) … captured the Coaches Award for both soccer and volleyball at the conclusion of the 2021 season … played a role in helping her 2019 soccer program post an undefeated regular season, winning the conference championship and reach the third round of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) State Tournament … led her 2021 soccer team to an undefeated mark, which resulted in a conference title before falling in the second round of the NCHSAA State Tournament … capped off her soccer career with an undefeated mark, the program’s fifth straight league crown and reached the NCHSAA 2A State Championship, suffering a 4-3 setback to Wheatmore on June 1st … has competed in Club Volleyball since the 2016 season … played for SC Smash Travel Volleyball from 2016-18 for Kevin Anderson and Erin Susi, Yadkin Valley Volleyball Club under the direction of Lindsay St. John (2019-20) as well as Champion Volleyball in 2020-22 for coach Julie Ames … also active on the Club Soccer circuit, playing for both Jim Caudill and Matt Matthews for the Wings of Wilkes Soccer program.

PERSONAL: LindaGrace Lankford York … daughter of Fran and Tim York … born on August 28, 2004 … has two siblings, Turner and Atticus … an honor graduate in high school, member of AP Academy … active participant in Interact Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes as well as Kindness Club … a second generation athlete with her mother participating dance and cheer, while her father competed in football, wrestling and golf in high school.
