FIRST YEAR (2025 / BEACH VOLLEYBALL): Finished a combined 9-6 on the season, posting the best duo record of any Salem pair alongside Jolina Bun … joined forces with Jolina Bun on the week leading up to the March 6th match with Wake Tech CC and the pair captured wins in No. 4 clashes with Skylar / Marliana Vincente (21-13, 21-14) as well as Mary Barnes / Vincente (21-6, 21-9) in the first-ever match played at Salem College … teamed with Bun again as the pair defeated Rylee Anderson and Arielle Deas (Spartanburg Methodist) by scores of 21-14, 21-11 … brought home her fourth win with Bun as the pair defeated Zoey Hall / Julia Emore (Sandhills CC) by margins of 21-9, 21-16 … grabbed a fourth-seeded win with Bun over Lydia Nelson / Parker Lynch (Lynchburg) by scores of 21-19, 21-13 … split a series of clashes at Catawba (March 28), facing Ragan Ball and Taylor Allison on March 22nd, closing out a win in the first meeting (14-21, 21-15, 15-13) before falling in the second (21-19, 16-21, 15-11) … won three straight matches to open April play, defeating Parker Lynch / Virginia Zalinski (Lynchburg) and twice downing Kyra Klouzek / Jenna Wensink (St. Andrews) in two sets. 

FIRST YEAR (2024 / Volleyball): An immediate contributor to the Salem defensive attack with the third-most digs (265), averaging 2.39 digs/set along the way … capped off the season with 25 service aces, third-most on the team behind Anna Rymer (44) and Leah Rymer (35) … made her collegiate debut versus Lynchburg (August 30), and emerged with 15 digs in a five-set match … followed that outing with 10 against Averett in the nightcap … concluded a two-day, four-match stint at the Averett University Tournament with 10 digs and one service ace against Roanoke (August 31) … contributed 13 digs and one service ace in a five-set triumph over Ferrum (September 6) … had solid outings against both N.C. Wesleyan (September 7) and Hollins (September 7) with nine digs apiece … emerged with eight digs in four sets at Methodist (September 17) … continued her solid play with 10 digs in a five-set win over Greensboro (September 19) … followed that with nine digs and an assist versus Pfeiffer (September 20) … instrumental in helping lead Salem past Methodist (October 15) with 10 digs and two service aces … ran off four consecutive double-digit dig outings against Pfeiffer (10), Bob Jones (11), Meredith (16) and N.C. Wesleyan (11), all resulting in three-set wins for the Spirits … closed with 15 digs in a four-set setback at William Peace (November 2) … capped off a four-set win at Meredith with 24 digs and two service aces … delivered six digs in a first round win in the USA South Conference Tournament over Brevard (November 12) … contributed three digs in the Semifinals of the USA South Conference Tournament as Salem downed William Peace (November 14) in straight sets … capped off the final match of the season with seven digs and two service aces in the USA South Conference Tournament Championship at Southern Virginia (November 16).

PREP: Gradated from American Heritage School in 2024 … named as a member of the All-Academic Team all four years … competed one season, 2020, for the Stargate Charter School volleyball program … spent three seasons playing volleyball for American Heritage School, nicknamed the Stallions … earned Honorable Mention honors on two occasions for the Stallions … nominated as Player of the Year while a member of the Stallions … was first in district in aces and second in kills while a member of the Stallions … competed on the Club Volleyball circuit for five seasons, playing for Sideout (one year), Wellington (two) and Ballistic (two) … earned Most Valuable Player honors for both the Wellington and Ballistic units. 

PERSONAL: Olivia Torres … daughter of Ivi and Jose Torres … born on September 22, 2005 … has one sibling, Jake … member of the Marine Biology Club.Â
