FIRST YEAR (2018): Made her collegiate debut at the Maryville College Invitational (Sept. 29), where she placed 73rd overall with a time of 42:16.7 … she was one of nine Salem runners to take part in the event at Maryville … just less than a month later, Rubio competed at the Livingstone XC Invitational (Oct. 18), placing 17th overall after crossing the line in 32:31.0.

PREP: Graduated from School of Science & Engineering in 2018 … did not compete in any sports.

PERSONAL: Mariana Rubio … daughter of Hilda and Ralph Rubio … born June 28, 2000 … has two siblings, Nidia and Diana … graduated Cum Laude … active in Student Council, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers … member of League of United Latin American Citizens … took part in Academic Decathlon and Yearbook Staff.
