-USA South Freshman Player of the Week (Feb. 22, 2020)

FIRST YEAR (2020): Started all seven games over the course of the abbreviated season for Salem, which was halted due to COVID-19 pandemic … finished among the top-five in five major statistical categories including shots (24—t-1st), up goals (3—t-1st), free position goals (4—2nd), shots on goal (18—2nd) and goals (8—3rd) … capped off her collegiate debut, which came against Randolph (Feb. 22), by netting three goals (two free position goals) and attempting five shots (four shots on goal) … her performance against the Wildcats resulted in Jimenez earning USA South Freshman of the Week honors, a program-first for Salem … emerged with two goals on two shots in a clash with Greensboro (March 3) … enjoyed her third multi-goal outing of the slate (two goals) against William Peace (March 7) after attempting four shots (three shots on goal), taking advantage of two up goals and two free position goals in the process.

PREP: Graduated from South Plantation High School … played lacrosse for four years (2015-19) under head coach Robert Rose.

PERSONAL: Sara Jimenez … daughter of Maria Jimenez … born Sept. 11, 2000 … has one sibling, Emilanio Gomez … maintained a 3.6 GPA during her high school career.
