Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College softball team dominated today as they defeated Rust 20-0 and 10-0. Morgan Coleman (Colfax, NC) threw a no-hitter in the first game, and Lauryn Smith (King, NC) only allowed one hit in the second game. The Spirits improve to 3-7 with the wins.

In the first game, the Spirits scored 15 runs in the first two innings to cruise to the win. They started out strong again in the second game with 8 runs in the first inning.

Kierston Garner (Danbury, NC) went a perfect 5 for 5 today. She had 4 runs batted in also. Coleman finished with 4 hits, and Allie Watkins (Locust, NC) had 3 hits for the day. Coleman drove in 4 runs. Watkins, Smith, and Amber Bass (Clinton, NC) all scored 4 runs today.

The Spirits hit the road on the 14th and 15th, when they travel to Piedmont College.
