Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College softball team earned their second straight sweep of the week as they took down Ferrum twice tonight. Bri Morris and Hannah Nolan both pitched gems and Kierston Garner smacked two homers in the wins. Salem cruised to a 6-1 win in the first game and a 5-1 win in game 2. The Spirits improve to 10-8 overall with their fourth straight win.

Morris only allowed 1 run on 7 hits through 7 innings in the first game. Nolan only allowed 1 run on 10 hits in the second game

Maggie Fritts led the team with 4 hits for the day and Garner added 3 hits. Fritts, Garner, and Jennifer Vitarelli all scored 2 runs to lead the Spirits. Logan Bowling blasted a 3 run home-run to secure the win in game 2. Garner finished with 5 runs batted in and Bowling had 3.

Salem returns to action at home on Friday when they host Mary Baldwin.
