Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College softball team eased to a 10-0 win in 6 innings against Frostburg State. Miranda Barker picked up her first collegiate win and also added 3 hits. Salem is now 3-2, while Frostburg falls to 0-2.

Salem jumped oput early to a 6-0 lead after the first 2 innings and added 4 runs in the top of the 6th. They had 12 hits in the game to just 4 for Frostburg. Barker pitched the complete game shutout and had 7 strikeouts. 

Montana Lineberger had a team-high 5 runs batted. Jennifer Vitarelli had 2 hits and Barker led the team with 3 runs. Lineberger and Breanna Herman each hit a double for Salem.

The Spirits will host Shenandoah tomorrow at 4:00 as the Salem Classic enters its third day.
