Biography

FIRST YEAR (2024): Played in 30 of 36 games over the course of the season … finished the slate 17-of-69 (.246 batting average), where she tallied eight runs and five RBI … among her 17 hits, Stokes came through with three doubles (5th-most) and one triple (2nd-most) … posted a .317 slugging percentage … opened her career with a trio of two-hit games, including her collegiate debut, which came against Carolina University (Feb. 17), where she was 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI and a double … came through with two hits and a run scored versus Carolina University (Feb. 17-Game 2) … followed that performance with two hits and a run scored at Livingstone (Feb. 19) in the first game of the series … had one hit in a clash at Guilford (Feb. 28-Game 1) … finished with a hit at Carolina University (March 5-Game 1) … delivered her first extra-base hit, a triple, at Agnes Scott (March 13-Game 1), resulting in a run scored and an RBI … came through with a single against Agnes Scott (March 13-Game 2) … was 2-for-2 at the plate versus No. 12 Pfeiffer (April 6-Game 2) … extended her hitting streak to three games with a single in the first game against Southern Virginia (April 10) and a double in the nightcap versus the Knights (April 10) … posted two hits and accounted for a run scored at Brevard (April 16-Game 1), leading Salem to a 7-6 win in the process … delivered her final hit of the season in the first game of the series with Methodist (April 27), where she notched a double and a run scored.

Graduated from East Duplin High School in 2023 … played softball four years (2019-23) under head coach Greg Jenkins … was All-Conference honoree in 2023 as the Panthers’ catcher … named Offensive Player of the Year by her East Duplin coaches following the 2023 campaign … integral part of her team finishing first in the conference on three occasions (2021, 2022, 2023) … competed on the Club Softball circuit in 2022, playing for the Firecrackers, coached by Jeff Pierce (Tier One Fastpitch).

PERSONAL: Ashlyn Brook Stokes … daughter of Jessica Stokes and Jeff Stokes … born on February 1, 2005 … has one sibling, James … second generation collegiate athlete after her mom (Jessica) played volleyball at Lenoir Community College … maintained an A+ average throughout all four years of high school at East Duplin … graduated Cum Laude Cord … served as President of Future Teachers of America … named as Secretary of Blue Crew (Athletic Spirit Club) … also served as Secretary of Students Against Destructive Decisions.
