SOPHOMORE (2025): Finished off the 2025 season by making 17 appearances and 15 starts for the Salem pitching staff … logged 65 innings, allowed 79 runs (48 earned runs) while fanning 34 opposing hitters along the way … her 34 K’s were second-most on the team … made her first of 11 consecutive starts in game one against Columbia International (Feb. 14), tossing five innings and closing with a strikeout … followed that with two K’s over six innings in a clash with St. Andrews (Feb. 27) … picked up a complete-game win, striking out three hitters along the way, in a clash with Guilford (March 2) … posted her second win of the season, a complete-game four-hitter, in a 2-1 victory over Oberlin (March 9), scattering four hits while striking out three batters … picked up her third win of the slate in a five-inning, 12-2 victory, over Johnson & Wales (March 22), striking out seven batters … finished with two K’s in the USA South Conference opener with Brevard (March 26) before notching three at William Peace (April 12) … came out of the bullpen to face Southern Virginia (April 1) and William Peace (April 12) … made her final relief appearance of the season in game one versus Greensboro (April 19) … started her final three games of the season against Greensboro (April 19), Mary Baldwin (April 22) and Methodist (April 26), all game two’s of the series … limited the Methodist offense to two walks and two runs on six hits, while striking out a single-game season-high seven hitters as part of the 7-6 (8 inning) victory.
FIRST YEAR (2024): A major contributor to the Spirits both at the plate and in the circle … entered the pitching circle on 22 occasions, making 14 starts … topped the pitching staff in wins (four) and innings pitched (79.1) … surrendered just 66 earned runs (97 runs) while issuing 24 walks … amassed the 10th-most single-season strikeouts (58) in program history … played in 22 games making 18 at bats along the way … delivered three hits, scoring one run while driving in two RBI … earned the starting nod in the second game of the season against Carolina University (Feb. 17), finishing off a complete-game performance with seven K’s which was instrumental in her winning USA South Conference Rookie Pitcher of the Week honors … followed that by striking out four Livingstone hitters in a clash on February 19th … picked up her second USA South Conference Rookie Pitcher of the Week honor after striking out seven St. Andrews sluggers over five innings on February 22nd … struck out five Guilford (Feb. 28-Game 1) hitters in 5.2 innings of work … fanned four sluggers in the No. 12 Pfeiffer (April 6-Game 1) lineup before coming through with three K’s in the second game of the series with the 12th-ranked Falcons … claimed her third victory of the season, while striking out four sluggers in 4.1 innings, helping the Spirits down Brevard (April 16-Game 1) by a 7-6 margin … ended her season with six K’s over 5.1 innings, allowing just four hits and two runs, in a 5-2 victory at Methodist (April 27-Game 2) … had the first hit of her career at Covenant (March 12-Game 2), resulting in one RBI … posted one hit and a stolen base versus Meredith (March 29-Game 2) … posted her final hit of the season in the second game of the series with Methodist (April 27).
PREP: Graduated from Oak Park River Forest High School in 2023 … recognized as an All-Academic athlete … a four-year letterwinner in softball (2019-23), playing for head coach JP Coughlin … named All-Academic (2023), All-Conference (2023), Second Team All-State (2023) and as the Athletic Department Student of the Quarter in 2023 … guided her tam to the Class 4A semifinalist in Illinois State Softball Tournament, pitching the longest game (13 innings) in the state history of the event … played on the Club Softball circuit since 2016, competing for the combination of the Pumas, Express and Sharks (2016-19), Falcons (2019) and Blazers (2020-23).
PERSONAL: Isabella Roscelia Morales … daughter of Rebekah Vandekolk and Jose Morales … born on September 24, 2004 … has one sibling, Jose Jr. … named to the Dean’s List (2019-23) … active in both Art Club and Anime Club.
