FIRST YEAR (2023): One of four first-year players on the Salem roster … played in 19 games, making 18 starts, before sustaining a neck injury against Southern Virginia … ended the season with seven hit, five runs scored and one double … delivered two RBI and posted a .286 on-base percentage while coming through with a .216 slugging percentage … was successful in swiping two bases for Salem … made 44 put outs in the Salem infield … made her collegiate debut at Averett (Feb. 18) … notched her first career hit in the second game of the series with Averett (Feb. 18), a double … crossed the plate for her first run of the season against Livingstone (March 20) in the first game … had her first two-hit game of the season (2-2, 2 RBI, two runs) in the second game of the series with the Blue Bears (March 20) … posted two hits, one in each game, which scoring three runs against Brevard (March 26) … came through with a single in a clash with USA South Conference foe N.C. Wesleyan (April 2) … had her final hit of the season at Mary Baldwin (April 5).

PREP: Graduated from Smithfield High School in 2022 … a four-year member of Packers softball team under the direction of head coach Catherine Riddick (2019-22) … earned Sportsmanship Award in 2021-22 … competed on Club Softball circuit for Virginia Lady Eagles, playing under head coach Jean Wright from 2019-22, serving as captain along the way.

PERSONAL: Jocelyn Rogers … daughter of Karen Hanley, Olivia Rogers, Joshua Rogers and Mark Hanley … has one sibling, Brayden Murden … her mother, Karen Hanley, was a high school softball player, while Joshua Rogers (father) played both football and basketball and stepfather (Mark Hanley) competed in basketball … member of honor roll in high school.
