SOPHOMORE (2025): Played in ust three games over the course of the 2025 season … served as a pinch runner in the first game of the series with St. Andrews (Feb. 27) ... also entered the second game against St. Andrews (Feb. 27) as a pinch runner, stealing one base along the way … earned the starting nod as an outfielder in the first game of the doubleheader with Agnes Scott (Feb. 28), scoring one run and drawing a walk.

FIRST YEAR (2024): Appeared in 14 games for Salem and came through with the fifth-best batting average (.294) on the unit among those with 25 at bats … delivered 10 hits, including two doubles and a triple, while accounting for three RBI … drew seven walks for Salem … emerged with a .415 on-base percentage and a .412 slugging percentage … made her collegiate debut against Carolina University (Feb. 17) in the season opener and delivered two hits, including one double and one triple, along with an RBI and two runs scored … capped off the doubleheader series with the Bruins with a 2-for-4 outing that resulted in a double and two runs scored as Salem posted the 9-8 win and move to 1-1 on the slate … emerged with three hits and an RBI at St. Andrews (Feb. 22-Game 1) … responsible for one hit in each of the games against Wesleyan (Ga.) (Feb. 25) … missed 22 games due to an injury sustained at Guilford (Feb. 28-Game 2) … returned to the lineup against Mary Baldwin (April 24-Game 1) and came through with her final hit of the season as she finished with a steal in the contest … had three at bats in the opening game of the series with Methodist (April 27).

PREP: Graduated from Wake Forest High School in 2023 … a four-year letterwinner on the Cougars’ softball team, playing for head coach Brittany Owens … named All-Conference in 2023 … helped lead Wake Forest to the conference title in all four seasons (2020-23) … competed on the Club Softball circuit from 2015-23 by playing for USA Pride (2015-18 / Jody Robinson), Lady Dukes (2018-20), Challengers (2020-21) and Spirits Fastpitch (2021-23 / Albert Rose).

PERSONAL: Taela Belcher … daughter of Toniya Richardson and Tremayne Richardson … born on January 31, 2005 … has two siblings, Makel Taylor and Khia Lucas … member of National Achievers Society.
