Biography

SENIOR (2022-23): Tallied the sixth-most points (114) for the Salem offense in her senior season … played in 22 games, making 13 starts, while hitting 40-of-103 field goals and 6-of-28 from beyond the arc … Brooks completed her Salem career by ranking 13th in program history in total points (519-14th), after hitting 185 field goals (14th), including 32 3-pointers, along with 117 free throws … her 117 free throws made are 13th-most all-time in program history ... Brooks was also an active defender with 198 rebounds, 93 steals and has dished out 95 assists … Brooks’ 93 steals place her 10th in program history in that category, while her 95 assists are 12th-most in Salem history … made 58 trips to the free throw line, closing with 28 free throw conversions … a gritty defensive player, Brooks snagged 58 rebounds, including 41 on the defensive glass … forced 21 steals and handed out 22 assists … opened the slate with a 14-point showing against Warren Wilson (Nov. 8), converting four field goals, two 3-pointers and four free throws … capped off December with a 12-point outing against Ferrum (Dec. 30) after converting 3-of-9 field goals and 6-of-8 at the free throw line … finished off an 11-point performance against Greensboro (Jan. 7) by hitting four field goals and three free throws … had a trio of six-point outings against league rivals Meredith (Jan. 18), Greensboro (Jan. 28) and Meredith (Feb. 11) … also posted seven points, by virtue of three field goals, against Mary Baldwin (Jan. 25), helping Salem claim the 70-53 victory.

SOPHOMORE (2021-22): Ended her season by ranking among the Top-5 in assists (36-3rd), free throws made (43-3rd), steals (21-4th), points (167-4th), field goals (59-5th) and 3-point field goals (6-t-5th) … scored 119 points in USA South action, hitting 43 field goals, 28 free throws and five 3-pointers along the way … reached double-digit points the first of eight times on the season when she tallied 13 (4-of-11) along with four steals and three assists against Virginia Wesleyan (Nov. 13) … followed with 13 points (5-of-10) against Emory & Henry (Nov. 17) … capped off November with 10 points versus Methodist (Nov. 30) … scored 11 points in a pair of USA South clashes with William Peace (Jan. 7) and Southern Virginia (Jan. 12) … dished out four assists against Meredith (Jan. 30) … contributed 13 points (5-of-8) against Mary Baldwin (Feb. 9) … followed with 10 points in a clash with Averett (Feb. 10), hitting 5-of-12 from the field … tallied her single-game season-high (15 points) while forcing three steals in an overtime win at William Peace (Feb. 12).

FIRST YEAR (2019-20): Closed out the campaign by finishing among the top-3 in nine statistical categories including free throws made (46—1st), free throws attempted (92—1st), steals (51—1st), field goals made (86—2nd), field goals attempted (274—2nd), 3-point field goals made (20—1st), 3-point field goals attempted (98—2nd), points (238—2nd) and assists (37—2nd) … tallied seven points in her collegiate debut against Piedmont International (Nov. 13) … wrapped up an 8-for-15 shooting performance, which included three 3-pointers, against Warren Wilson (Nov. 16) with 21 points … came through with 18 points, hitting 7-of-24 from the floor, five rebounds and three steals against Johnson & Wales (Nov. 20) … had her third double-digit scoring performance (10 points) of the season against Randolph (Nov. 26) … emerged with 16 points in her first USA South Conference game against N.C. Wesleyan (Dec. 4) … notched 13 points, hitting 3-of-11 from the floor and 6-of-8 at the free throw line, against Pfeiffer (Dec. 6) … knocked down six free throws as she scored 16 points in a meeting at Hollins (Dec. 10) … capped off her single-game season-high in points (22) against Methodist (Dec. 18) by knocking down 10-of-18 field goals and 2-of-3 free throws … put together a solid performance against Mary Baldwin (Jan. 1) with seven points, six rebounds and five steals … closed out January with a 12-point outing against Methodist (Jan. 28) … scored 11 points and added five rebounds at N.C. Wesleyan (Feb. 2) … came through with 13 points, after hitting 6-of-14 from the floor, at Piedmont International (Feb. 8) … tallied 11 points and five rebounds, hitting 3-of-8 from the floor and 4-of-12 from the free throw line, versus William Peace (Feb. 12).

Graduated from West Mecklenburg High School in 2019 … a two-sport athlete that competed in both basketball and soccer … named as basketball Most Valuable Player following the 2015-16 season … competed in AAU basketball for CBC.
