SOPHOMORE (2024): Competed in nine matches over the course of the season for the Spirits … made her first appearance in a clash with Columbia (S.C.) … was a staple in the Salem defense in each of the first five matches of the season, seeing action against the Koalas, Agnes Scott, Wesleyan (Ga.), Warren Wilson and Sweet Briar … returned to the lineup against N.C. Wesleyan (September 12) … saw action in a total of four USA South Conference matches, including clashes with Brevard, Meredith and Greensboro … a top defender for the Spirits, she played a key role in helping Salem battle to three one-goal differences in USA South Conference action.
FIRST YEAR (2023): Appeared in all 16 matches, making 15 starts along the way … made her collegiate debut at Hollins (Sept. 1) … attempted just one shot on the season, which came at Pfeiffer (Oct. 21) … a primary defender for the Spirits, Solorzano helped the Spirits hold opposing offenses to a .079 shot percentage after attempting 507 shots and 237 shots on goal.
PREP: Graduated from North Forsyth High School in 2023 … a two-sport athlete during her prep career, playing both soccer (2019-22) and jayvee basketball (2019-20) along the way … played soccer under the direction of head coach Dan Proctor … earned All-Conference accolades on two occasions (2022, 2023) for the Vikings … instrumental part of leading the Vikings to the North Carolina High School Athletic Association State Tournament in both 2022 and 2023.
