Biography
SENIOR (2019-20): Played seven games over the second half of the season, logging 148 minutes in the process … scored 50 points after hitting 18-of-57 from the floor and 9-of-30 from 3-point range … grabbed 19 rebounds, forced 13 steals and handed out six assists … made her season debut against Hollins (Dec. 30), scoring 14 points by virtue of hitting 5-of-13 from the floor and 4-of-8 from beyond the arc, while grabbing seven rebounds and forcing three steals … emerged with five points against Meredith (Jan. 4) … reached double figures (12) in scoring against Mary Baldwin (Jan. 1) after knocking down 4-of-12 from the floor, 2-of-7 from 3-point range and 2-of-2 from the free throw line … scored eight points in 22 minutes at Pfeiffer (Jan. 15) after hitting 2-of-11 from the floor and 3-of-6 at the charity stripe … appeared in her final game of the season at Mary Baldwin (Jan. 21), scoring seven points after hitting 3-of-5 from the floor.
FIRST YEAR (2016-17): Joined the Spirits at the start of the second semester, playing in 11 games over the course of the second half of the season … netted 42 points to go along with 10 rebounds and four assists and three steals … made her collegiate debut against Agnes Scott (Jan. 14), hitting 2-of-3 from the floor for four points … emerged with five points, knocking down a pair of field goals, versus Wesleyan (Ga.) … put together her best performance of the season against Piedmont (Jan. 25), closing with 11 points, as she was 5-for-9 from the floor with a free throw conversion … capped off a 19-minute outing against Wesleyan (Ga.) with eight points, knocking down 3-of-13 from the floor and a pair of free throws along the way … netted five points by virtue of two field goals and a free throw at LaGrange (Feb. 4) … closed with four points in clashes with Covenant on both Feb. 7 and Feb. 11.
PREP: Graduated from East Rowan High School in 2016 … a four-year letter winner in basketball for head coach Danielle Porter … received All-County honors on three occasions … was named All-Conference following two occasions … named to the All-Tournament Team at the Sam Moir Christmas Tournament on two occasions (2014, 2015) … led East Rowan to the Sam Moir Christmas Tournament championship … captured the conference championship.
PERSONAL: Shenell Darlene Pharr … daughter of Kim Pharr and Derick Hinson … born on Oct. 19, 1997 … has a sister Shenique, who is also playing for the Spirits … is Microsoft Certified … earned the distinction of being a Crosby Scholar at East Rowan High School.
