SENIOR (2019): Wrapped up her senior slate by finishing among the top-10 of four major statistical categories including assists (four—t-2nd), points (eight—t-6th), shots (24—t-6th) and goals (two—t-9th) … attempted 18 shots on goal for the Spirits … started all 18 matches that she played over the course of her final season … had a shot in the 5-4 win at Covenant (Sept. 7) … netted her first goal of the season in a tough 3-2 decision at Agnes Scott (Sept. 8) … posted two shots each in clashes with Brevard (Sept. 17) and Ferrum (Sept. 22) … had one assist each in meetings with Greensboro (Sept. 28) and Meredith (Oct 1), which included two shots against the Avenging Angels … came through with three shots in a 4-0 shutout of Averett (Oct. 5) … emerged with three shots in a 2-1 win over William Peace (Oct. 15) … drove home the game-winning overtime goal in a 1-0 win against Methodist (Oct. 23), one of two shots that she would attempt against the Monarchs … ended the regular season with four shots and an assist on Senior Day against Mary Baldwin (Oct. 26) … came through with an assist and one shot in a clash with Piedmont (Nov. 2) in the USA South Quarterfinals … made her 18th start of the season at Maryville (Nov. 8) in the USA South Conference Tournament.
JUNIOR (2018): A solid presence for the Salem defensive attack, she made 19 starts over the course of the season … contributed offensive with four goals and two assists (10 points), while having 32 shots and 13 shots on goal … took three shots in contests against Bob Jones (Sept. 4), Transylvania (Sept. 9), Brevard (Sept. 18) and Covenant (Sept. 29) … drove home her first goal of the season in a 4-0 victory against Meredith (Sept. 30), taking six shots along the way … made one assist versus N.C. Wesleyan (Oct. 6) … scored one goal in three straight matches against Methodist (Oct. 10), Greensboro (Oct. 13) and Lynchburg (Oct. 14).
SOPHOMORE (2017): Capped off the slate by playing in 16 matches, making 14 starts along the way, as she tallied two goals and five assists (second-most on the team), finishing with nine points … recorded 11 shots, including eight shots on goal … drove home her first goal of the season against Eastern Mennonite (Sept. 10), helping Salem post a 3-1 win … responsible for a goal in a 2-0 triumph over Southern Virginia (Sept. 12) … dished out her first assist of the season against Lynchburg (Sept. 16) … emerged with assists in back-to-back matches against Methodist (Sept. 27) and Greensboro (Sept. 30) … also had back-to-back assist performances against Averett (Oct. 18) and Methodist (Oct. 28).
FIRST YEAR (2016): Started 20 of the 21 matches in which she played, recording six assists while making 22 shots and 18 shots on goal … handed out one assist in a 2-0 triumph against Guilford (Sept. 9) … contributed one assist in each match against Agnes Scott (Sept. 24) and Wesleyan (Ga.) (Sept. 25), both resulting in Salem wins … assisted on a goal in Salem’s 4-0 win over Huntingdon (Oct. 2) … helped Salem’s offense with an assist in the 4-1 victory against Agnes Scott (Oct. 8) … capped off the 2-0 win against Maryville with an assist.
PREP: Graduated from Greencastle Antrim High School in 2016 … a four-year varsity letterwinner in soccer (2012-15) under the direction of head coach Greg Cole … captured the division championship over the course of her career.
PERSONAL: Alyssa Denkovich … daughter of Kristi and Kevin Denkovich … born October 23, 1997 … has one sibling, Abbey … played Club Soccer for the HMMS Eagle FC.
