JUNIOR (2024): Competed in one match over the course of the season, which came against Randolph (September 6). 

SOPHOMORE (2023): Did not appear in any matches over the course of the season.

FIRST YEAR (2022): Logged time in two matches during the season for the Spirits … made her collegiate debut against Johnson & Wales (Sept. 6) … cracked the rotation for Salem as she played one set against Ferrum (Sept. 13).

PREP: Graduated from Deep Creek High School in 2022 … competed in volleyball, earning varsity four letters … named as captain of Hornets’ volleyball team in 2021 … received Most Valuable Player honors in 2021 … recognized as Most Improved Player in 2018 … competed on Club Volleyball circuit from 2015-2022 for South East Region Volleyball team, serving as captain of 17s unit.

PERSONAL: Alysa Danielle Thombs … daughter of Avery and Mark Edwards … born December 22, 2003 … has one sibling, Addyson … received an Academic Award for maintaining at least a 3.5 GPA or better in each of her four years (2018, 2019, 2020, 2021) … member of the National Honor Society, completing 10 volunteer hours in 2020-21 and 15 in 2021-22 … completed a job shadowing in 2021, working with an occupational therapist to earn 15 hours of experience … gained 30 hours as an occupational therapist as part of an internship and another 18 hours as an elementary school teacher … served as the class chaplin from 2018-22.
