JUNIOR (2021): Played in all 24 matches for the Spirits, appearing in 84 sets … capped off the season with 57 kills … ranked third on the team in total blocks (27) after converting five solo blocks and 22 assisted blocks … had a pair of five-dig matches against Marymount (Sept. 4) and Ferrum (Sept. 7) … came through with five kills at Ferrum (Sept. 16) … converted three assisted blocks at Pfeiffer (Sept. 21), while positing a .300 attack percentage with four kills to her credit … capped off a four-set match against Mary Baldwin (Oct. 9) with three blocks, including two assisted … posted four kills and two digs against Meredith (Oct. 19) … responsible for three assisted blocks at Meredith (Oct. 21) … came through with nine digs in a three-set match against William Peace (Oct. 23) … capped off a five-set match against Methodist (Oct. 27) with five kills, three blocks (two assisted blocks) and a .227 attack percentage on Senior Night … delivered five kills, two digs and two assisted blocks in a win over Mary Baldwin (Oct. 30).

SOPHOMORE (2019): Capped off her first year at Salem with five kills in nine matches … made her collegiate debut against Wilson (Aug. 30) … recorded her first collegiate kill against Mary Baldwin (Sept. 28) … drove home four kills, while posting a .308 attack percentage, in a clash with Mary Baldwin (Oct. 19).

PREP: Graduated from Forestview High School in 2018 … a two-sport athlete who competed in volleyball (2014-18) and basketball (2014-18) … won the 2018 Sportsmanship Award … played both volleyball and basketball for head coach Kevin Gurganus.

PERSONAL: Brianna Cherry … daughter of Lalcai and Byron Adams … born April 27, 2000 … has three siblings, Robert Cherry, Byron Adams Jr. and William Adams … played Club Basketball for Tyree Basketball Gems.
