After wrapping up both Soccer and Cross Country last week, Volleyball is the only Salem team to compete this week, finishing out their regular season schedule.

Salem Volleyball will start out on the road, traveling to take on Brevard on Tuesday at 6pm. The Spirits have won the last nine matchups straight, going back to 2019. Their most recent matchup was earlier this season on October 8th, where the Spirits won in straight sets. It was a dominant game for Salem, not giving up more than 14 points in each set. Aspen Bradley put up 10 kills and four blocks, Ella Brameus racked up four aces, and both Madison Bozarth and Jolina Bun snagged nine digs. Brevard is currently the eight seed in the USA South, while Salem is third, making this game good preparation for the postseason. 

Volleyball will also play two games on Saturday, the first against conference opponent William Peace. WPU is currently in seventh in the USA South, just a few points behind the six seed. The Spirits have won their last two matches against the Pacers, both in straight sets. In their matchup on October 10th, Aspen Bradley, Bella Mann, and Ella Brameus put up kills in the double digits. Leah Rymer put up a double double, racking up 34 assists and 10 digs. Madison Bozarth also had a solid showing, taking home 18 digs. 

In the final game of the week, Volleyball will take on Averett in a late-season non-conference matchup. The Spirits have only beat Averett twice in their last 11 contests, one of which was last season. Salem won in four competitive sets, with multiple Spirits putting up solid numbers. Jolina Bun led in digs with 19, while Bradley led in kills with 14. Rymer once again took home a double double, racking up 19 assists and 15 digs. With this being Salem's last regular season game, it is a great opportunity to prepare for the USA South Tournament and contend for the Championship.
