Greensboro, NC-The Salem College softball team lost both games of a doubleheader
to Guilford College today in non-conference play. Guilford won both games in 5-innings. They took game one 9-1 and game two 16-4. The Spirits drop to 5-17, while the Quakers improve to 14-12.
Allie Watkins pitched in both games for the Spirits. Kristi Morton (Trussville, AL) and Lexi Perez (Mount Ulla, NC) each pitched in the fourth-inning of the second game.
Perez led the Spirits with 3 hits on the day. Kierston Garner (Danbury, NC) led the team with 3 runs batted in for the day.
The Spirits return to Great South action this Saturday when they travel to Georgia to take on Covenant.
