Raleigh, NC-The Salem College soccer team put together an impressive 110 minutes of soccer to tie Meredith 1-1 in double overtime. Paige Ketchum (Jacksonville, NC) had three huge saves in goal during the match. Salem moves to 2-0-1 with the tie.

After a back and forth first half, Meredith's Jessie Davis scored in the 53rd minutes. Over the next thirty minutes, Salem reversed momentum and Tarryn Bundy (West Deptford, NJ) scored off an assist by MacKenzie Schmidt (Columbus, OH) in the 77th minute. Meredith had a 19-14 shot advantage, and a 9-8 shots on goal advantage.

"I was proud of how hard we worked today," said Head Coach Jay Callahan. "Meredith has a very good team that could win the USA South and we went toe to toe with them."

Bundy and Schmidt were joined by Stephanie Hubbard (Sanford, NC) and Nataly Mojica (Dallas, TX) on the Meredith All-Classic Team. The Spirits return to action on Wednesday as they travel to take on Methodist at 5:00.
