Box Score 2 Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College softball team defeated LaGrange 2-0 and 7-6 to move to the next round of the USA South Tournament. Sydney Vaughn earned the win on the mound in game 1 and the save in game 2. Salem is now 27-14 overall, while LaGrange ends their season at 11-21.
Vaughn only allowed 2 hits in the shutout win in game 1. Amanda Dacunto and Brianna Morris had the two runs batted in for Salem.
In game 2, the offenses came alive for both teams. Jennifer Vitarelli led the team with 3 hits, while Dacunto and Montana Lineberger each had 2 runs batted in. Morris earned the win on the mound.
