Columbia, SC-The Salem College tennis team traveled to South Carolina and split two Great South matches with Wesleyan. In two very evenly played games, Salem lost game one 4-5, but came back in game two for a 5-4 win. The Spirits are now 1-8 overall this season and 1-6 in the GSAC.
Andrea Akers (Pinnacle, NC) won all four matches she played at #1 singles and #1 doubles. Angela Reavis (Boonville, NC) also won all four matches she played in at #2 doubles and #1 doubles. In the 1st match, Ayla Pruitt (Wilkesboro, NC) and Samantha Story (Burlington, NC) won # 2 doubles. In the 2nd match, Kenna Amos and Zoe Fawcett won 8-4 at #3 doubles, which was the difference in the match.
