WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Sophomore Adley Keim delivered two points for the Salem tennis team, including her fourth two-set win in singles this season, in hard-fought 4-3 setback to Brevard in USA South Conference tennis action on Tuesday at the Bert Lain Tennis Center. 

Keim and Cymone Crump paired up at No. 1 doubles to take down Hannah Hersh and Sophie Trantham by a 6-3 score. Meanwhile, Abrielle Eckenroth and Mariana Faint fought past the Brevard tandem of Casey Wampler and Gracie Spangler to emerge with a 6-1 win, giving Salem the doubles point. 

Brevard's Jada Ore and Madison Bowen posted a 6-2 victory against Daisy Ortiz Mendoza and Chloe Koons in No. 2 singles, preventing the Salem sweep. 

Keim continued her dominance in No. 1 singles, posting a 6-3, 6-1 win over Hersh, move the Salem lead to 2-1. Ore provided the first Brevard point of the afternoon in No. 5 singles, posting a 6-1, 6-2 win over Koons. 

Trantham evened the match at two-all with a 6-0, 6-3 win of her again in No. 4 singles against Mendoza. Meanwhile, Bowen's three-set triumph (3-6, 6-2, 6-4) over Crump in No. 2 action forged Brevard in front by a 3-2 margin. 

The deciding point for the Tornados came from Wampler, who took down Eckenroth by a 6-2, 7-5 score. Faint provided Salem's third point of the match with a three-set win over Spangler by scores of 3-6, 6-3 and 6-3.
