INDIAN TRAIL, N.C. — The Salem beach volleyball program dropped its second 5-0 decision to the Liberty Club team on Saturday afternoon when the two units met in Indian Trail, N.C., as part of a two-day event hosted by Catawba.
Liberty claimed one of its five points in No. 1 action as Grace Cropper and Brooke Elliot posted a 21-16, 24-22 win over the tandem of
Ellie Scherer and
McKenzie Tullock. The Flames also took advantage of a 21-6, 21-19 triumph in No. 2 play as Brenna Bentley and Taylor Bates took down
Leah Rymer and
Anna Rymer.
Kiniley Phillips and Gabrielle Olson picked up a two-set win (21-6, 21-19) in a battle of third seeds with Salem's
Aspen Bradley and
Ella Brameus.
Avaree Kellert and Josephine Malone provided a point for the Flames in No. 4 action, taking down
Olivia Torres and
Jolina Bun by scores of 22-20 and 21-17. Liberty took care of matters in fifth-seeded action as Eliza Griffin and Sydnee Przemielewski posted a 21-12, 21-14 victory against
Grace Royer and
