The Salem beach volleyball team closes out its inaugural season with a trio of matches in Mount Berry, Ga., this weekend.
Salem makes the trek to the Peach State to face Huntingdon (2:30 p.m.) and host Berry (4:30 p.m.) on April 11th. The following morning, the Spirits put the finishing touches on both the road trip and the 2025 season by clashing with LaGrange at 10:30 a.m.
>LOOKING TO RETURN TO THE WIN COLUMN
The Spirits are looking to put the brakes on a seven-match skid that began with a 5-0 setback to Wingate in March 21st.
Salem had won four straight, including a sweep of Wake Tech on March 6th, which came as a result of wins of 4-1 and 3-2. The following afternoon, the Spirits took down Sandhills CC by a 4-1 score before picking up their second win of the season against Spartanburg Methodist (3-2).

Heading into the final weekend of action in 2025, Salem has won 24 of 46 (34.3%) games during the course of the season.
The top pairing for the Spirits are
Jolina Bun and
Olivia Torres, who are 9-3 overall and 7-3 when facing fellow No. 4 seeds.
Two tandems (
Aspen Bradley /
Ella Brameus) and (
Molly Enos /
Grace Royer) are tied for the second-most wins in 2025 with five wins apiece.
Anna Rymer and
Leah Rymer have combined for two wins for the Spirits while the tandem of
Ellie Scherer and
McKenzie Tullock are responsible for one win.

The Salem beach volleyball team closed out the home portion of the 2025 campaign on Tuesday when it faced St. Andrews in a pair of matches at the Salem Beach Volleyball Complex. The Knights emerged with a pair of 4-1 victories in both matches as they moved to 3-0 in head-to-head clashes against Salem.
Both Salem wins were from the tandem of
Jolina Bun and
Olivia Torres, who moved their record to 9-3 on the campaign. The duo is 9-3 on the slate with seven wins as the No. 4 seed and two as the No. 2 seed, which came on Tuesday.
St. Andrews 4, Salem 1 (Match 1)
The pair of Bun and Torres earned their seventh two-set win of the season with a 21-14, 21-12 triumph over Kyra Klouzek and Jenna Wensink in the battle of No. 2 seeds.
St. Andrews' Kyra McKinney and Cayleigh Pellitier fought past
Ellie Scherer and
Leah Rymer in No. 1 action, claiming a tough 22-20, 21-18 victory. Meanwhile, Emily Hinchcliffe and Bella DiDonna rebounded from an opening set loss to take down
Aspen Bradley and
Ella Brameus by scores of 13-21, 21-14 and 15-9.
In the clash of No. 4 seeds, Paige Green and Mackenzie Fa'apouli posted a three-set win against
Molly Enos and
Grace Royer, coming back from losing the first set to win 14-21, 21-18 and 15-9. Davanee McKinney and Hayden Larrimore posted a 21-10, 21-8 victory against the senior tandem of
Haley King and
LindaGrace York in No. 5 action.
Bella Mann and Jacie Jarvis made their Salem debuts in exhibition play, suffering a 17-21, 21-10 and 15-8 loss to the tandem of Jordyn Skeens and Skyler Clayton.
St. Andrews 4, Salem 1 (Match 2)
Bun and Torres moved their winning streak to three straight with a 21-12, 21-15 triumph over Kyra Klouzek and Jenna Wensink in the second match of the day.
Cayleigh Pellitier and Kyra McKinney were successful in No. 1 action against
Ellie Scherer and
Leah Rymer, posting wins of 21-17, 21-16. Emily Hinchcliffe joined forces with Bella DiDonna to earn a 21-15, 21-13 victory over
Aspen Bradley and
Ella Brameus in No. 3 play.
Paige Green and Mackenzie Fa'apouli paired up to take down
Molly Enos and
Grace Royer in No. 4 action by margins of 21-13, 21-16. Davanee McKinney and Hayden Larrimore also claimed a point in No. 5 play as they defeated
Haley King and
LindaGrace York by scores of 21-10, 21-10.
Bella Mann and Jacie Jarvis again made up the Salem exhibition unit, falling by scores of 21-10, 21-15 to Hailey Corman and Carina Villanueva.
>SCOUTING REPORT: HUNTINGDON
Huntingdon enters this weekend's matches, which will pit the Hawks against Jacksonville State (April 11) and Salem (April 11) with a 14-11 mark.
Huntingdon has won four of its last five matches, with the lone setback coming to Berry on March 22 by a 4-1 margin. Two of the wins came at LaGrange (April 5) by scores of 4-1, while the others came by scores of 4-1 over Southern Virginia and East Texas Baptist.

The host for the Spirits, Berry, brings a 22-4 mark into the weekend.
The Vikings have won 16 of their last 17 matches dating back to a 4-1 win over Truett McConnell on March 8th. After putting together, a 15-match winning streak, Berry suffered a 3-2 setback to Stevenson on April 5th at home. Later that same day, the Vikings took down Wesleyan (Ga.) by a 5-0 margin.

The Panthers, who enter their sixth season of beach volleyball, are 1-16 in 2025.
LaGrange claimed its lone victory over Georgia Highlands College on February 8th by a 5-0 margin. Since that time they have suffered seven 5-0 setbacks, including a recent sweep to Erskine on March 26th.
